"Balla" Wife

I'm no Michael Jordan--well, not in theory, but maybe in practice--and neither is Marisa. But man did we have an intense game of basketball last night on our 1' by 1' basketball hoop!

Marisa put up a good fight. In fact, probably too much. She threw me into the dresser drawer one time--rude! And threw some cheap shots. But I let her get away with it. The initial rules were fist one to seven, win by two. Marisa kept changing the rules on me though. Finally, out of the pure mercy of my kind heart, I told her I would play only with my left hand.

Eventually we both kept scoring so we had to make a "next point wins" rule. Now, I'm not Keven McHale in this picture getting smothered, nor Robert Parish sheepishly looking at what is about to happen; in reality, I don't even want to claim the famed Larry Bird because they're all getting embarrassed by one amazing ball player. I do, however, want to give some credit to my amazing wife. Yeah, you guessed it: she won. And her last point was close to what Michael is doing here. I'm not at all embarrassed thought because everyone reading this would probably get worked twice as bad as I did, even if you played with your right hand.

It's about time!

Danny & I have been married for almost 6 weeks now and I feel that I am WAY overdue in starting this blog. I had every intention to start us a blog during our engagement but just never got around to it. So here we are starting the blog that we should have started long ago.

We have chosen the title of our blog because that is what we feel like we are living. Our "happily ever after."

This blog will be a record of all the wonderful things Danny and I experience in our "happily ever after" together. Hope you enjoy and be sure to stay tuned for what I am sure are going to be some FABULOUS blog posts! : )

Breakfast in Bed

I know no one expected me to ever write on a blog, in fact, no one ever probably thought I knew what a blog was. But today calls for a special post because of a special person.

I woke up this morning to a vibrating cell phone, and it wasn't mine. Marisa never puts her cell phone on vibrate to wake up to, she always has it on a loud ring. This morning, however, she tried to be sneaky and not wake me up. Not to thwart her plans or anything, but she saw that I was awake too. So, she simply told me to stay in bed.

twenty-five to thirty minutes later: wha-la! Breakfast in bed for the first time in my life.
Muffins, eggs (with a soft touch of melted cheese), bacon, O.J., and, of course the Leavitt in me, Salt and Pepper. I love my wife!
During the enjoyable meal, I decide to spice it up a bit and have some fun. Here's what resulted:I like to think it's me!

And, here's a little of both of us:

These are the blessings of having a special wife who shows you she loves in in special ways. I love you, Marisa
